Metro North Brisbane Medicare Local

One of the Wave One Federally funded eHealth sites, Metro North Brisbane Medicare Local is a large geographical division of general practice north of Brisbane. This lead eHealth site will initially target around 100 GP practices, and focus on establishing personally controlled electronic health records for selected patients in the following groups:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
  • Residents of Aged Care Facilities
  • Older Australians and patients on multiple medications
  • Patients with chronic and complex diseases
  • Patients on public inpatient and specialist outpatient waiting lists

Accoras 

This project will deliver a substantial eHealth site in one of Australia’s major capital cities. The project will aim at enrolling up to 25,000 individuals in the Brisbane and Ipswich region. A key focus will be on individuals with disabilities and their carers, war veterans and war widows, and children commencing school. The project will bring two Divisions of General Practice on board, Brisbane South and Ipswich and West Moreton, and public and private hospitals, allied health and GP’s. The project will leverage Wave One Federally funded infrastructure.

Mater Misericordiae Health Project

Mater Misericordiae will deliver an eHealth site to enhance healthcare for mothers and newborns.

The population reach of the project is 9000 mothers and involves three GP Divisions (South East Alliance, Brisbane South and the South East Primary HealthCare network) and local specialist obstetricians. The project will leverage Wave One infrastructure.
